Studio Assistant
Help prepare photo and video shoots, support the team on set and get product images ready to use.

What you’ll do
- Prepare clothes, props, equipment and the space for planned photo and video shoots.
- Check that batteries, memory cards and other equipment are ready, and keep the studio organised.
- Help position lights, backgrounds and reflectors under the photographer’s or videographer’s direction.
- Assist during shoots by preparing the next piece, adjusting garments and keeping track of the shot list.
- Transfer, name, organise and back up photographs and footage so the team can find and use them.
- Process product photographs using our established editing steps, including background removal, cropping and exporting.
- Check finished images for missing details, incorrect colour or editing mistakes, and flag anything that needs further work.
- Return finished product images to the product and merchandising team, keeping each image linked to the correct piece.
Who we’re looking for
- You’re interested in photography, video and clothing, and enjoy practical work behind the scenes.
- You enjoy working with others to get a shoot ready and keep it moving.
- You’re organised with equipment and files, and comfortable keeping track of several tasks.
- Basic familiarity with Photoshop or similar software is useful. We’ll provide guidance on the editing steps used in this role.
- You’re reliable with agreed shifts and tasks, and communicate early if something is holding up the work.
- Previous studio experience is welcome, but isn’t required. Personal projects and student work count too.
Hours and pay
- Starting pay is VND 30,000 per hour.
- During your first three months, we’ll have regular reviews so you know how you’re performing. These are a chance to raise any issues, discuss how you’re settling in and agree on the support you need. You can also ask questions and suggest changes to the workload or working arrangement.
- After your initial three months, we’ll review your progress, responsibilities and pay with you. Pay may stay the same or increase following that review. We’ll explain the outcome and discuss what could support an increase in future.
- We’ll agree on your regular hours and discuss shoot dates in advance.
- Some shoots may need longer blocks of time. We’ll agree on any schedule changes and additional hours with you beforehand.
- Training, shoot preparation, file handling and editing are paid working time.
- SPOT has equipment available. You don’t need to own a camera to apply.
Working at SPOT
You’ll support the people responsible for planning, shooting and finishing SPOT’s photography and video work. They’ll provide the creative direction and make the final decisions, while you help prepare and carry out the work.
Between shoots, you’ll help process product images and keep our files and equipment organised. We’ll make the priorities clear so you know what needs your attention.
There’s room to learn more about lighting, photography and editing as you gain experience. If your responsibilities grow, we’ll discuss the scope and pay together.
We often organise team dinners as a chance to chat with colleagues you might not get much time with during normal shifts. They’re an opportunity to get to know the people you work with and build better working relationships. There’s no expectation to attend.
